Looking to level-up presentation and speaking skills? Maybe you have a big meeting, interview or conference coming up, and you have no clue where to start? This class will get you thinking about how you present yourself and what your words mean – and how people view you and your style!
Through improv-based activities and homework (YEP! You all get an A just for doing it – don’t worry) we’ll zoom in on your personal style for presenting – everything from the polish with pose, projection, cadence and enunciation, gestures, eye contact – all the way to reading and connecting with an audience, pivoting, flexibility, confidence and that ‘It Factor’ that creates a speaker you can’t stop watching.
Students are invited to bring a work in progress and should think about what area of their communication life they want to focus in on first – thinking about work presentations? Interviews? Social communication? The sky is the limit – you’ll leave with a better understanding of your style, ideas for improvement and next step activities to continue growing as a dynamic and authentic speaker.
